Scaring Myself Silly: Readers Confess All

During October, authors, bloggers, writers and readers have got in touch to talk to me about all things scary, spooky and macabre. Scaring Myself Silly is a blog series where I interview bookish guests with questions such as:

What’s a horror film you should not have watched as a kid?

What was your first introduction to horror?

Is there a local spooky legend or folklore monster near where you live?

We talk about growing up with ghost stories, great horror books, the scariest horror films and of course, Halloween and what it means to them. My guests include science fiction and horror authors, bookstagrammers and substack writers who love a good scare.

All posts can be found in this category, but why not get started here:

Torrie Lennon talks scary films, great horror books and local Australian supernatural legends.

Bryan Pirolli talks The Jersey Devil, spooky stories and Halloween.

Every guest has something different to offer, and I was particularly interested in learning about what lurks in their local haunts. If you’re a horror reader, horror film fanatic or just love the occasional October scare, you should check out these interviews.
